What Bible translation does your church use?

Our senior pastor typically teaches from the English Standard Version; we also will use the King James Version, the New King James Version, and the New American Standard from time to time. We believe there are several good English translations available, but that only the original autographs can be said to be “perfect.” Translation involves choices by fallible human beings and some nuances of the original languages are difficult to transfer neatly into English. Some versions attempt to be more literal, leaving more of the difficulties unresolved. Others are less literal, resolving differences, and sometimes imposing opinions on the text of scripture.
