The BBC Homeschool Co-op, a ministry of Bethlehem Bible Church, offers weekly co-op classes for area homeschoolers.
Mission Statement
The BBC Homeschool Co-op is a Christ-centered group that endeavors to equip homeschooling families to integrate faith and education in order to build Christian character and encourage academic excellence in their children. The goal of the group is to provide biblically sound, weekly co-op classes, and regular support and fellowship for homeschoolers in Central Massachusetts.
What the BBC Homeschool Co-op Offers
The BBC Homeschool Co-op meets on Mondays from 9:20 AM to approximately 1:00 PM at Bethlehem Bible Church in West Boylston, MA. Designed to enrich the education of participating students, the co-op offers a variety of academic and enrichment classes for preschool through high school levels, as well as childcare for the nursery- and toddler-aged siblings of these home-educated students.
Co-op class day begins with announcement and prayer time, which is followed by three 1-hour classes for students. Co-op parents teach the classes, which vary each year. The parents have taught classes including art, literature, drama, public speaking, writing, physical education, home economics, and science. Periodically, the co-op holds additional support group meetings and events such as annual Kick-Off Picnics, year-end celebrations, and miscellaneous field trips.
